About
The idea for PoorRichards.net came from Poor Richard’s Almanack (1732-1758), published by Benjamin Franklin under the pseudonym of “Poor Richard” or “Richard Saunders”. Franklin’s Alamanack was especially remembered for its aphorisms and proverbs on the value of hard work and savings for success.
PoorRichards.net provides valuable information relevant to today’s world of life and business, and its trend towards leveraging the power of the internet and new technology for greater abundance, prosperity and success.
This is my venue to share with the world some of the experiences, knowledge and skills that I have acquired throughout my life. Originally I thought of creating a blog about internet marketing and search engine optimization, I also thought of blogging about business success principles. This blog is going to be about all that and more. Specifically I will write about things I’ve learned as an Entrepreneur regarding successes and failures. I will also write about how to leverage the power of the internet to make your business more successful. I’ll even draw upon my knowledge and beliefs being the spiritual and religious person that I am. While the content on this site will vary and be rather random in topic, I believe it will contain information considered valuable to many of its readers.
I believe that each of us has a divine mission and purpose; and that God has a plan for us. I believe that by calling upon that supreme being, by whatever name you prefer to call upon, we can receive inspiration that will guide us in our life.
Here are some of Franklin’s proverbs:
A word to the wise is enough.
Many words won’t fill a bushel.
God helps them that help themselves.
There will be sleeping enough in the grave.
Drive your business! Let not that drive thee.
Wise men learn by others harms; fools scarcely by their own.
