Duplicate Yourself

Are you an Entrepreneur? Do you have a great product or service that you offer?  Have you considered duplicating yourself?

No I don’t mean cloning! I mean duplicating yourself; leveraging your skills, abilities and knowledge to create more value and help more people.

How to Duplicate Yourself With Your Intellectual Property

First, consider these questions… What business are you in?  What products/services do you offer?

Even if you don’t currently have your own business. Perhaps you have a marketable skill, talent or expertise? What do you know that could benefit others if they had that same knowledge? This is your IP (Intellectual Property). What is Intellectual Property? It is information, it exists first inside of your head and is then reproduced in various forms (printed, spoken, tangible, recorded, etc.)

Now, here comes the duplication… How can you turn your Intellectual Property into a tangible form? i.e. a book, website, DVD, CD, e-book, digital product, etc.

e-book, book, cd, dvd, videoIt is in the creation of an educational product, based on your expertise, that you can duplicate yourself.  The amount of people you can personally visit with and talk to one-on-one is limited. Offering your service as a product you can sell to others allows you to influence an infinitely greater amount of people.

Here are some examples of how others are duplicating themselves.

A Financial Advisor who teaches people how to get out of debt, rather than meeting with each individual in person, can create an audio CD or visual DVD teaching people the same strategies.

A Business Coach, Branding, or Marketing expert, can take their clients through their process via a video or audio CD.  This can even be done online on a website.

A Home Gardening Expert can create a video showing a step-by-step process of home gardening.

There are so many things that can be taught, so many ways to do it, and so many experts out there, the possibilities are endless. Some of the richest people in the world have made their fortune selling books and other products that teach others how to do what they do.

Now ask yourself: “What skill, talent, trait, knowledge, or expertise do I have that can be turned into a product?” (DVD, CD, book, e-book, website, blog, newsletter, software, etc.)

What are you really good at?

Have you ever stopped to think about what you are really good at?

Many people go through school and college getting degrees in a field maybe not because they like it but because it pays well. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with this just presenting an alternate method for consideration.

Make a list of everything you are really good at.

Some of the things I listed are: creativity, art, web design, SEO (search engine optimization), learning, organizing.

Probably many items on your list are things that you also enjoy doing? and make you happy?

What are you really good at?

Have you considered purusing a career doint that which makes you happy? Or starting a business doing what you’re really good at? Using your unique talents to make the world a better place.

Doing the things you’re good at doesn’t necessarily have to be related to what you do for work. Maybe these are just things you do in your spare time.

I believe that the more time you spend doing what you are really good at, and things that you enjoy, you will bring more joy into your life and will also find opportunities to bring joy to others.

The noblest question in the world is What good may I do in it? (Benjamin Franklin)

The Real Meaning of Christmas

I’ve never been much of a fan of Santa Claus. Even today, though my children know of Santa Claus, I remind them that he is not “real”. They know the story of St. Nicholas, a man who dedicated his life to serving God and obeyed the words of Jesus to “sell what you own and give the money to the poor”.

But What is Christmas Really About?

Christmas is about Jesus the Christ. It’s a celebration of his birth, his life and all that he gives to us. Christ has given us a perfect example to live by. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Author of Salvation, the Bread of Life, Creator, Deliverer, the Good Shepherd, the Great High Priest, the Lamb of God, the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

Jesus the Christ

In addition to the scriptures teachings of the life of Christ, my favorite book about Him is Jesus the Christ, written by James E. Talmage. Reading that book gave me a whole new understanding and perspective of the magnificence of Christ and the importance of his life and example. Jesus the Christ is available as a FREE download in MP3 audio format. I highly recommend it to anyone, regardless of your religious denomination or beliefs.

Merry Christmas!

How many observe Christ’s birthday: How few his precepts!

The Law of Internalization

Nobody else will solve your problems. You created them; only you can solve them.

While it is true that nearly everyone around you will have some advice or recommendation on how to get past your latest hurdle in life, the outcome depends on your implementation of such. You can consult with as many people as will listen and put out, but your problems won’t get solved until you solve them yourself. Often you will find that the answer to life’s problems was already within you.

The Law of Internalization

When it comes to your next objective or goal in life, the more you think about it and the more you do about it, the greater the possibility you will receive or achieve it.

What you focus on you feel. What you visualize you internalize. What you think about comes about. That is the Law of Internalization.

He that composes himself is wiser than he that composes books.

Poor Richard’s New Online Almanack Begins!

The idea for PoorRichards.net came from Poor Richard’s Almanack (1732-1758), published by Benjamin Franklin under the pseudonym of “Poor Richard” or “Richard Saunders”. Franklin’s Alamanack was especially remembered for its aphorisms and proverbs on the value of hard work and savings for success.

PoorRichards.net provides valuable information relevant to today’s world of life and business, and its trend towards leveraging the power of the internet and new technology for greater abundance, prosperity and success.

This is my venue to share with the world some of the experiences, knowledge and skills that I have acquired throughout my life. Originally I thought of creating a blog about internet marketing and search engine optimization, I also thought of blogging about business success principles. This blog is going to be about all that and more. Specifically I will write about things I’ve learned as an Entrepreneur regarding successes and failures. I will also write about how to leverage the power of the internet to make your business more successful. I’ll even draw upon my knowledge and beliefs being the spiritual and religious person that I am. While the content on this site will vary and be rather random in topic, I believe it will contain information considered valuable to many of its readers.

I believe that each of us has a divine mission and purpose; and that God has a plan for us. I believe that by calling upon that supreme being, by whatever name you prefer to call upon, we can receive inspiration that will guide us in our life.

If you would not be forgotten As soon as you are dead and rotten, Either write things worth reading Or do things worth writing.
